Fine Arts
A key component of classical education is understanding the sweep of the arts and music throughout history and culture. For this reason, we require our students to take two years of Music History and Concert Choir. Art Media are also available as an elective every year. Middle schoolers take Art History.
In classical education, the music and art history classes represent the logic stage. Choir and art media classes are an out flowing of what is taught in those classes and represents the rhetoric stage of learning. The music and art assignments align with the time period being studied. We see the alignment and integration of content as a key component of our curriculum.
